Come join us for a full day workshop will focus on the acting methods developed by Konstantin Stanislavski, which aim to help actors create truthful, believable performances rather than simply "pretending."

1. Script and Character Analysis

You'll spend time exploring:

  • Who the character is

  • What they want (their objectives)

  • What's stopping them (obstacles)

  • What actions they take to achieve their goals

2. The "Magic If"

"What would I do if I were in this situation?"

This helps actors connect personally to fictional circumstances without forcing emotions.

3. Emotional and Sensory Work

  • Sense memory exercises (recalling physical sensations)

  • Personal experiences that help illuminate a scene

  • Emotional authenticity

4. Improvisation

  • Improvise moments before or after a scripted scene

  • Explore relationships between characters

  • Create backstory through spontaneous exercises

5. Physical and Vocal Awareness

  • Relaxation techniques

  • Concentration exercises

  • Body awareness

  • Voice and breath work

6. Scene Study

  • Working on scenes with partners

  • Receiving feedback

  • Refining intentions and actions

  • Learning to listen and respond genuinely rather than reciting lines

7. Ensemble Exercises

  • Observation

  • Listening

  • Trust

  • Reacting in the moment
